PASTAIO - SOHO

Pastaio is a pasta-centric no reservations restaurant from Stevie Parle and friends in the heart of Soho.  The restaurant specialises in serving up plates of simple, quality, handmade pasta at affordable prices.  A short list of antipasti and desserts is also available, whilst a fun drinks list and some vibey playlists all contribute to the lively Central London atmosphere.

 

Pastaio seats up to 72 persons and sees Stevie team up with good friend and long time collaborator, British designer Tom Dixon’s and his Design Research Studios to create a colourful, contemporary open space with three big share tables, some two tops and an open kitchen. 

London artist Supermundane adds to the vibe with a fantastic wall mural running the length of the restaurant and some funky window vinyls too.  Outdoor seating is offered year-round with Pastaio’s terrace an instant hit in Soho.

 

Pastaio uses top-notch produce from the best British producers to make quality, affordable pasta.  All pasta is made on site by the team; short and long pasta is extruded through bronze using a blend of organic Italian semolina and ancient British grains. 

 

Stuffed pasta is made by hand from the best '00' flour and eggs from Rodley Court in Kent. Gluten free pasta is also offered.

 

Some of the stand out pasta dishes include Pheasant, Rabbit & Pork Agnoli, Bucatini Cacio e Pepe, Fonduta Ravioli del Plin and a Wild mushroom tagliatelle.

 

Whilst pasta takes centre stage it’s hard to overlook that Fried Mozzarella, honey and ‘nduja sandwich, a wine list with everything offered by the glass and the instant Soho classic in the form of Prosecco slushies.

 

 

 

Pastaio is open 7 days a week from midday until late.
